Diet Tips for Travellers

Following a  prescribed diet regime during travelling is sometimes difficult. So, does it mean – a business trip  or a vacation will ruin all your efforts that you have been putting in to stay fit and healthy?

follow these simple tips by Nishant Joshi and win the battle over fat and obesity during travelling.

  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Drink green tea at least thrice in a week.
  • keep nuts, digestive biscuit, puffed rice and channa handy.
  • Plan your meals
  • Keep fruits as a major component in one meal (preferably dinner)
  • In dinner prefer grilled and tandoori items.
  • Restrict variety in a meal.Don’t try more than 2 or 3 items from different food families
  • Soups and salads are very beneficial during travelling, try soups without cornflour and ajinomoto
  • Take a hearty breakfast and mid meals filled with healthy snacks to avoid food cravings in the later part of the evening
  • Moderation in the portions is the key. Reduce portions of the meals and cover up with with fruits and raw products.
  • Never skip any meal.
  • Restrict sugar and salt intake, specially desserts.
  • Avoid beverages including simple sodas and zero calorie (diet drinks), prefer coconut water, fresh fruit juice, lemonade and water
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Detoxification tablet can be used and organic drinks are helpful.
